About NewOmegle

NewOmegle is a random chat site where you meet one stranger at a time by video, text, or voice, in your browser, with no sign-up form in the way. This page covers what the site is, what it isn't, and how to reach us.

The Omegle part of the name

Omegle ran for fourteen years and closed in November 2023. A lot of people had made a habit of it: open a page, get paired with someone, talk, press Next. NewOmegle is built for that habit. The name says who the site is for, not who runs it.

To be clear about the relationship: NewOmegle is an independent service. It isn't the original Omegle, it isn't a relaunch, and it has no connection to Omegle's creator. If you want to know how the two compare, feature by feature, the Omegle alternative page goes through it.

What the site does

You pick a mode. Video puts you face to face on camera, text keeps the camera and mic off and lets you send messages, photos, and voice notes, and voice is mic only. Press Start and NewOmegle pairs you with one person who chose the same mode. Talk as long as it's going well, or press Next.

There's no registration form. An account is created in the background when you arrive, and the person you're matched with sees your nickname, avatar, and country. You can set a country, language, and gender preference for free; it's a preference, not a guarantee. Audio and video calls aren't recorded by the service.

It's free to start. A new account comes with some free chats, and once they're used up, continuing is paid. NewOmegle is for adults 18 and over.

What we ask of you

Treat whoever shows up on your screen as a real person, because they are. Keep your real name, phone number, and address out of the conversation. The full list is short and lives on the home page. If someone breaks it, hang up, then report or block them from their profile.

Who to talk to

Questions about the site, your account, or anything on these pages: email [email protected], or see the contact page for what to include. Something that happened inside a chat is better handled with report and block, which sends the context along with it.

That's the whole story

Pick video, text, or voice and see who's on the other side.

Free to start. No sign-up form.
